Description

The program has two streams an applicant may be eligible for - the Reparative Grant and the Preventative Grant. Multiple applications are permitted throughout the pilot year for a building. The maximum cumulative amount a building may receive in grant funding cannot exceed $5,500 in the pilot year.

Full funding is not guaranteed for any application.

Reparative Grant

The Reparative Grant is intended to support repairs to commercial facades due to vandalism.

  • On facades that face a street, the incentive is equivalent to 50% of the eligible project costs to a maximum of $2,500.
  • On facades that face an alley, the incentive is equivalent to 50% of the eligible project costs to a maximum of $500.

Preventative Grant

The Preventative Grant is intended to support projects that mitigate or prevent damage to commercial facades.

  • Projects can claim 50% of budgeted costs up to $1,500.
